Our class bought a fish tank for our pet fish. The tank has a base of 12 inches x 18 inches and is 12 inches in height.
Javier is filling the tank with water. If the faucet let out 3 cubic inches of water every second, how many seconds (or minutes) until the fish tank is full?

ANSWER: For a fish tank with a volume of 2,592 cubic inches, and the faucet letting out water at 3 cubic inches per second, it will take 864 seconds (14 minutes and 24 seconds) to fill up the tank.

864 seconds to fill the whole tank. 12 * 18=216 and 216 * 12= 2,592. And 2,592 divided by 3 is 864.
