MORANDI STILL LIFE

Picture
Giorgio Morandi is Italy's most famous 20th century still life painter. He lived from 1890-1964 and is most remembered and renowned for his extensive body of still life paintings (called natura morta in Italian).

May 17, 2019 - Following Morandi's style, we used charcoal to draw and shade a still life model of boxes, vases, and balls. We showed how light sources can affect the gradation values and shadows of the objects. This is a more advanced type of art that we want to experience at the end of the year.
