MARSHMALLOW TOWER CHALLENGE

Picture
September 25, 2019 - Students in Room B1 were presented with a challenge in this STEM project: To build the tallest free standing tower that can withstand a California 3.0 earthquake (shake the desk for 3 seconds). The construction materials for each team are 50 marshmallows and 100 toothpicks.
The engineering teams used geometric figures of choice to build the tallest structure that they can using the materials provided. After 30 minutes of problem solving and dealing with sticky falling marshmallows, the team of Aiden, Wilmer, and Kaleb captured first place with the height of 10 inches!!! The best part was that at the end, the engineers get to eat their towers!!!
Good job engineers... until next time!
