Since the beginning of school 3 weeks ago, our class have been busy with the usual school-starting activities such as getting to know each other, reviewing PBIS guidelines, class rules, schedule, and learning how to learn better.
Unfortunately, there are still several students that needed to be reminded often to behave appropriately. It is not fair to the class if we must spend valuable instructional time correcting behavioral issues. As we begin our 5th grade curriculum, one of our goals this year is learning to be a more matured and independent student. As 5th graders, they should know what their responsibilities are, and I ask you to support me in this effort by talking to your child the importance of following instructions and behaving properly at school. Please make sure to make time for your child to do homework and don’t let your child make excuses for not reading every day.
Let me know if there are problems or if you have questions. You can e-mail, text using Remind, or use the contact form on our class website. Only by working together, we can ensure the success of the children.
